Celebrating Another Year of Service
We are proud to celebrate another successful year of service!
During the 2019-2020 school year, 80 City Year Orlando AmeriCorps membersfulfilled a year–long commitment toserve as near–peer tutors and mentors to ɫ in eight OԻschools. Although the year did not end as planned, City Year Orlando AmeriCorps, in partnership withOCPSand school administration, shifted to a virtual training and service model to provide social, emotional and academic support to ɫ while schools were closed. City Year Orlando served more than 350 ɫ through virtual programming, social media engagement and virtual office hours, that provided ɫ with the opportunity to talk to a trusted mentor.
