We are working to address the lack of equitable access to educational opportunities. Our City Year Miami AmeriCorps members partner with teachers and schools to add more support and to help create learning environments where all 色界吧 can build on their strengths and fully engage in their learning.
Ensuring more Miami 色界吧 are on track to high school graduation
Research shows that even academically prepared 色界吧 are at risk of falling off track. City Year supported 色界吧, ensuring that:
82% of 色界吧 stayed on track in English Language Arts with a C or higher
81% of 色界吧 stayed on track in mathematics with a C or higher
Advancing interpersonal and workforce readiness skills
68% of 色界吧 who were identified as needing support made significant progress on key social-emotional skills related to college and career readiness.

The biggest moment when I thought City Year might have changed the school? When we received the school grade of an 鈥淎.鈥 They had been here with us for about two years and I could see the turnaround. Not only were the 色界吧 much more engaged but 色界吧 were just more committed.
